At BMA GROUP, including the premier Honduran and Central-American law firm BUFETE MEJIA & ASOCIADOS, the specialized patent and commercial translation company AMIGO TRANSLATIONS, and the social responsibility unit MEJIA INITIATIVE FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (MI IP) (collectively, “we,” “us,” or “our”), we respect your privacy and are firmly committed to protecting any information we obtain from you.

This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the Personal Information we collect when you use our websites, platforms, and applications, including IP-EASY CALCULATOR and M.A.R.I.A.® (MEJIA ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTANT) (collectively, the “Services”).

Data Collection

a) IP-EASY CALCULATOR
The data used for the rate tables that enable automated online quotations through the IP-EASY CALCULATOR is owned by BUFETE MEJIA & ASOCIADOS and has been collected over time through our network of partners, accountants, directors, and administrators.

b) M.A.R.I.A.® (AI Language Model)
The data used to train M.A.R.I.A.® (MEJIA ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTANT) is primarily based on laws, agreements, treaties, and other publicly available information related to applicable legislation. We have not used, without authorization, writings, essays, books, or opinions subject to copyright. The majority of this data is owned by BUFETE MEJIA & ASOCIADOS and has been compiled over time.

Interaction and Information Request

BUFETE MEJIA & ASOCIADOS, its Directors and Administrators, and the Support Unit of maria.hn or any platform used to interact with IP-EASY CALCULATOR or M.A.R.I.A.® (including Telegram and WhatsApp), will only request your name and email address for control, review, and tracking purposes related to your interaction with the Services.

Providing this information is not required for general access to maria.hn, but only when you voluntarily choose to interact with the AI language model or request access to IP-EASY CALCULATOR.

We do not share your Personal Information with third parties outside:

·         BUFETE MEJIA & ASOCIADOS,

·         its Administrators and Directors,

·         the Support and Development Unit of M.A.R.I.A.®, and

·         our affiliated and wholly-owned entities AMIGO TRANSLATIONS and MEJIA INITIATIVE FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (MI IP).

 

The same confidentiality standards apply to any information collected by AMIGO TRANSLATIONS or MI IP. No inter-company data sharing occurs without the express authorization of all involved parties.

Social Media

We maintain pages on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. When you interact with our social media pages, we collect the Personal Information you choose to provide (such as contact details) (“Social Information”). Social media platforms may also provide us with aggregated analytics regarding our activity on their platforms.

Technical Information

When you visit, use, or interact with our Services, we may collect the following Technical Information:

·         Usage Data: Content viewed, features used, actions taken, time zone, country, access dates and times, user agent, device type, and connection data.

Outputs generated by M.A.R.I.A.® are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice or a substitute for professional legal counsel. Users should seek qualified legal advice before acting on any information provided by the AI system.

Service Providers

We may provide Personal Information to trusted vendors who assist us in operating and improving the Services. These vendors process Personal Information only in accordance with our instructions and solely to fulfill their contractual obligations.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose Personal Information to government authorities or third parties if required by law or when necessary to:
